Comments: Dream while reading Walden

I have an interesting short article on this book. It claims that Thoreau lived less than two miles from his family home and which he attended regularly for meals. He had a view of the highway, had frequented visitors, went to the village every day and gave university lectures on simple living. He attracted so much attention that he even had sightseers coming to look at his shack and say hello. There was a joke doing the rounds at the time that when his mother rang the dinner bell he was first in line with a plate.
